666 dragons are way too much >.< Kinda want to kill them all at once and be done with the game..
If the dragon has another dragon nearby, when you battle, the second dragon appears in a few turns, making you battle two dragons in a row. Same goes to when there are three or more. When you encounter a random battle near a dragon, it will appear on the screen in a few turns. Or when you kill enough monsters to fit the dragon on the screen. After finishing defeating the boss dragon, or the last dragon of the area, the poison plants in the area, and outside around it, will be cleared out. It does feel refreshing to see no poison plants. It’s like you can breath easier.
The most tiring/annoying quest: Collecting 100 of the a certain monster bit. You can deliver 10 at a time though. It isn’t that easy to collect. Not hard either. I go to the island in the south to collect them because there are more possibilities that the monster with the item needed appears.
I kinda wish that you can save your items by leaving them with someone. That way, it’ll be easier to remember which items are needed to fulfill the quests. And I like having the bag with as little items as possible, since there will be more items to pick up. But I know that it’ll make the game less challenging.
A funny quest: The love hunter. He falls in love with a girl easily. He asks you to do quests for him just so he can hit on the girl, like helping him get certain items as gifts. However, each time he tries to get closer to the girl, his plan backfires. These scenes are funny and stupid. He kinda reminds me of a character in Pokemon XD
I decide not to do all the quests. There are several quests that disappear after you complete the mission. I accidentally miss these and don’t feel like starting over again. During the prologue, make sure you complete all the quests at the first two towns before moving on. And there’s another one at the third town that disappears after completing a mission.
There’s an ability to teleport back to the teleporters. And another for teleporting out of the dungeons. I’m glad they have these. And there are abilities to decrease the encounter rate. I’m glad because there are times when I get sick of the random encounters.
Only the major towns have portables nearby. The smaller towns don’t, so you have to travel all the way there again in order to get to them. Unless, there’s an ability from other characters whom I don’t know that have it.
You get a ship later on. I’ve read that you’ll get the function to fly but seems like you won’t be able to receive it until much, much later.. The ship is a bit interesting. When you walk to the water, you turn into a ship XD Well, they show the characters getting in but there’s no ship on the water beforehand. At least, you don’t need to worry about where it is..
I’m still not used to having the fighting option stay the same after each turn. It doesn’t reset back to attack mode the following turn. I’m used to keep having to select the spell option (or other options) over and over again, so I tend to select the wrong option. Even though I can stop myself from doing it but I still make mistakes every now and then.
You get stuck in the first two towns for a very long time at the beginning of the game. Seems like forever to get out of this area. It is a long journey to be able to get to another town.
In order to get to the top of the first continent (with Kazan and Miross), there’s a secret passage in the cave above Kazan. But you need to receive a key from the ship repairer in order to pass the passage.
There isn’t much story going on. Just kill dragons and fulfill quests. Well, the major key point is to fulfill missions. Fulfilling missions is necessary to complete the main game. It is better to have an understanding of Japanese to process through the game, especially if you want to complete everything. It is necessary to complete quests since they tell you what to do. The Japanese level here isn’t so bad. I’m able to understand the major key points. I rely on a chart in a Japanese site to check and mark down the quests.
